Someone who needs Altera program and FPGA applications, Discuss here!

Altera Quartus II and MaxPlus2 program are design and simulation program for PLD, SPLD, GAL, CPLD, FPGA Designs. it's especially for control and signal processing digital circuit designs.
Usually there have 2 types of designs, schematic design and VHDL programming.

the procredures in practical design

1. schematic design or VHDL program design in Quartus II or Maxplus II.
2.do simultion by using input wave vector files
3.choice the device which altera chip you want to use
4 compile the design program
5 after compiling you will get .pof file
6. do pin assignment of altra chip to be convient the PCB lay out
7. download the program to to the chip via downloading cable.

if you don't have chip for experiment, you can design and simulated only in step 2.
