| Hello Ko PhoeSeinGyi,
I also interested in Automation but I was graduated form Electronics field. Here, Singapore, there are a lot of MIT members graduated from CCA, NTU. Which kind of Automation methods u used bez i am not familar with Machnical portion? Now I am also working with Factory Automation related with Electronics, Data Translation and Machine Vision Automation. But not fully automated machine, Just provide the Electronic portion. I think we can share Experiences. Thanks for ur topic!!! Best Regards, Kyaw Naing Oo.

Looking forward to get your kind efforts. Hi.. That is interesting , isn't it?. As far as I know the automation comprise of PLC, DCS , SCADA etc.. which one do you want to know? Depend on the customer need there are a lot of automation systems. We have got Delta V Distrubuted Control system to monitor the whole plant. And also have various kinds of PLC s namely Allen Bradley PLC 5 familyy.. SLC etc , Ge Fanuc 90/70, small Omoron, Modicon, Tri conex .. etc... SCADA system use Wonder ware which provide HMI graphic to operator... I guess .. most Oil and Gas fields use either Rosemount old version or Delta V form Emerson Process System as newer version. You are absolutely right too, an automation system also include both electronic equipments and pneumatic equipments. But don't be afraid , all have manuals and if you read those thoroughly you can understand about what to do with start up or shut down and also you can do maintenance.

SCADA is not just a UI interface.. it has much more functionalities and intelliegent... but most prominent objective of SCADA is efficient and effective data logging and retrieving.... 2. DCS is not a only soultion for factory automation.. choice of centralized or distributed rely one factory size, functional complexity and time costriants...
