HTTP File server_Beta is up

Helo friends,

As for testing purpose;
The HTTP File Server is up.

The link is,
http://ourmit.dyndns.org:8080

It is accessible from everyone(outside Myanmar). But uploading will be limited. Anyone who want to upload the files, pls request for username and password via Private Message.

So far, the storage space is available for 4 GB only.I'll try to maximize the size soon.

Congratulation for your contribution! I'll also try to contribute more space on my server. But still don't know how to do user management in IIS. Pls advice!
If more and more members contribute, our E library will be very great soon! One thing I would like to advice is the Book Name and author name. Everytime a book is uploaded, the uploaded user should use full book name, author name and even ISBN if possible. Then a book will be very easy to search even when the number of books become substantial.

The server is not accessible in Myanmar even if we don't use dyndns service and access with ip address as

http://59.189.31.50:8080/

Is there any idea how to overcome it?

As long as we can't host our servers with port 80, our friends from Myanmar can't access the server. Becoz Myanmar Teleport allows port 80 only for web access.

Hi all,
Today I called to starhub and they said they will not allow to use port 80 for residental user in anyway.They encourage me to contact legitimate web hosting provider and buy the free storage space.
So far this plan will be pending for our future plan. So lets encourage our users to join to this forum and request the file that they need and share as much as we can.
This is the only thing I can think about this issue.

firstly, we should start a fund for our plan.How abt that? Starting at least S$ 5 or 10 can be end our desires finally.may b taking long time or not is better than nothing do.

I really encourge your plan, Pls guide me how to upload to your server..

As YNA said,
we should need the database for Author,Book Name and
Uploader(optional).
But I am now so boring to do book database in my personal elibrary.
(wooo...it will be ok if I have one girl to assist me.... just funny!! )
Anyway, I will try to send 10 books and it's detail database per one upload.
